This year's Canada Day theme in Norton will be AN OL' FASHION CANADIAN COUNTRY FAIR.


PARADE begins at 11am - Everyone is encouraged to place an entry in the parade. Decorate a bike or a wheel barrel - anything with wheels - or create a fun float, ride a horse, enter an antique car, or be a walker.  Line up starts at 10 am at Riverview Drive East. Judging will take place before the parade begins, so have everyone on your float by 10:45. For more information about the parade, please contact Sue at 434.0465.

EVENTS at the Norton Community Playground & Legacy Park
- Bouncy Castle for children is from 11am till 2pm.
- the Norton Rec Council will be fundraising by selling hot dogs, hamburgers, beverages, and popcorn as part of the community BBQ and potluck beginning at noon. Please bring a salad or desert to share with the community, as well as a picnic blanket or chairs.
- Children's Carnival Games from 12:45 till 1:30pm: admission is $2 and lets the children go to each station and earn points that can be traded in for prizes.
- Washer toss and Sack races open to all ages from 1:30-2:00pm.
- Pony rides.
 - Lego contest, photo contest, and baking contest: entries will be on display in the Norton Elementary School gym. All entries must be submitted on June 30th between 3-5pm at the Norton Elementary School and should include name, ages, and address.

COFFEE HOUSE & FIREWORKS - beginning at 8pm, everyone is invited back to the playground for a fun evening to celebrate our community and country. The Norton Village Council will be providing a cake for everyone to try and the Midland Baptist Church will be selling coffee and beverages to raise money for its Mad @ Poverty campaign. When it gets dark, the Norton Fire Department will amaze us all with a lovely fireworks display!
